The Meaning of Trying

Sometimes we have to spend so much time to solve very difficult mathematical problems before we get the new formulas. We have to experiment thousand times before we find the new solutions. It is but the question of time and our being mortal. But most of all, it is a question of our ability to go beyond measure.

Abstraction

Abstraction can be seen only in reality by means of representation through the certain objects or it can be seen as an action and therefore represented concretely as an act or a process of a certain act to be exemplified. The best example that I have is justice. The concept of justice means giving what is due to others. Consequently, I must carry into action as a concrete manifestation of abstraction the concept of justice. I must practice the virtue of diligence by studying hardly. By doing this, I am convinced that I give justice to my parents and my formators. Above all to put into practice what is essentially good is also a kind of justice. Justice as an example is presupposed by love because how can I say that I love my parents and my formators if what I do is laziness and idleness? For what my formators and my parents do is for the sake of giving what is due to me out of their love for me. Thus, concrete ideas should represent abstract ideas to convey valuable meaning and essentials to my development as a human person. Justice is just a void and meaningless idea if it is not put into action.

Concept of Artificial Human

Man is selfish. His desire, which naturally loves liberty, is to preserve himself. Man thinks he has the right to everything due to his will to survive.
Men are acting for the sake of what they take to be for their own good.


No peace can be attained in this state of nature unless everybody submit all their rights, wills and judgments to the sovereign and create an Artificial Man, the great Leviathan. And so, what defines that condition of men is the absence of an authority.
*This Artificial Man is said to be instituted when a multitude of men agree to their
Covenant. Thus, every one is the author of this Artificial Man. It only means that what the mutual covenant of the people will also be the covenant of the Artificial Man.

Could anyone make a difference?

As a human being, we always dream of something. It is something that is seemingly fulfilling. It is something that somehow will make him satisfied and rewarded. When we dream, we believe in ourselves and we should think that we are not just an ordinary mortal being. We are human beings who can go beyond our limit. I believe, every person has once dreamed of something. Something that he thinks he can do despite being mortal.

I know we can do these things by creativity and self-discipline. It is creativity because we have to dare to be different. Dare to be true to ourselves and not just follow the flow of our environment. It will be the only way to suspend history from repeating itself. By self-discipline, we can actualize the best of our potentialities. If you are good in music and arts, then strive to be a superman in that field.

How do we Choose

In our life choosing something or someone is inevitable. In choosing we always want to be certain on the things we chose, but we cannot avoid that there might be something which is better than the thing we’ve already chose. There is always the fear in our will, because there is always a possibility that what we’ve chosen is not the right one, but instead it is the wrong one; or maybe it is not the better one, but instead it is the least one. In choosing something or someone we must be certain that what we are choosing is the right one. In our journey of life we also chose on what way we shall go. Sometimes we chose the wrong way which leads us to an unsuccessful journey of life. But always remember that God has a better plan for us...

CONSEQUENTIAL ABSURDITY OF A HUMAN ACT

If our action is not done with motive of duty, then it is without moral value .


Man is a relational being. He is related not only to other human beings but also to other living thing as well. As a relational being, man’s life is related with that of his fellows. There is no moment in his entire life that he is not spent with others. In fact, being with others has a very important purpose, that is, man needs others in order for him to survive. Man cannot be without others. As the popular dictum goes “No man is an island.” Hence, divorcing himself from other means one thing, that he will cease to exist.
As man interacts with his fellow human being has also a consequence for man.

Expression of Empathy towards Being Fully Human

Life is a journey. Therefore there is what we call a point of origin and destination. In this journey, we are never alone. There are always other like who also experience journey is never easy. Along the way we meet some obstacles. But even if our lives are full of obstacles we should not stop our journey, but instead obstacles should be serve as our inspiration to continue with our journey. We should think positive that the problems and trials are just part of our journey. We could be an instrument that will serve to others as a guide and a good example and \Jesus is the best example. He was able to give Himself to every kind of people the poor, the rich, the sinners and even to the sick people. Jesus can be considered as a person who was able to achieve how to be fully human. That is because he has this empathy which is very essential to be a fully human.
